Very friendly....
As if you are at home enjoying a beer and music..
The servers love to be on a first name basis with their customers....
Thank you for the yummy salsa food and drinks...
If you get the opportunity come join this establishment and their hospitality -

This became my go-to place for Mexican food for a little while! The food was delicious. The service was great. The price was reasonable for the quality and quantity of the entrees.
However, the restaurant recently changed ownership and went downhill ever since. I used to order the carne asada plate. The meat was well-seasoned and proportionate to the pricing. They were generous with the rice and beans. The chips and salsa were perfect. The pick de Gallo and guacamole were on point. I would leave incredibly satisfied.
The last time I went, I ordered the carne asada plate as usual. The meat was tasteless, rubbery, and the portion was skimpy to say the least. The rice and beans portion sizes were not even adequate for a kid's meal. I felt robbed.
Additionally, the waitress was overworked as she was apparently the only one on duty and completely ignored us for the second half of our meal. When she finally brought us another basket of chips 15 minutes after we asked for them, she just walked by and dropped the chips on the table without saying a word or asking how everything was going.
I used to love this place, but unfortunately, it's not the same restaurant anymore. Sad. -

We have have came to this restaurant in the past to order ceviche. But today we had a very bad experience. I'm not sure if the waiter/owner was having a bad day but she gave us horrible service. We ordered extra tostadas after she had rang up our order , so she seemed bothered that she had to swipe our card again. So we told her we would just order a whole other order. After our order was complete, she told me she would help me in a minute. She finished making about 4 margaritas took them to the table and then came back to charge our card and give us our ceviche and cold fries. We waited almost 10 minutes after I order was done so she can get our food. Even her coworker had to tell her to ring us up already. Never coming back. They need to talk to this manager/waiter about her customers service. Specially if they have new owners.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE & OVERPRICED! We have been coming to this restaurant for years. We loved it when it used to be Zamoras. When it changed to el pirata We Decided to give it a try. We weren't too thrilled the first time, but we decided to try it again and of course waste of $$. The food isn't the same.
We ordered menudo and they didn't even give us a full bowl and upped the price so we paid more and got less
Food.
I MISS ZAMORAS. IF THATS WHAT YOUR EXPECTING WHEN YOU GO TO EL PIRATA, DO NOT GO! -

Came here Sunday night and they had a dj playing music only another gentleman in there because it was late almost about to close so i came at the right time! Ana was my waitress and took care of me since i was craving shrimp and it was delicious!!! Shrimp rice and beans and was definitely very generous with the shrimp and the seasoning was on point!!! I'm definitely coming back on a Saturday night to really get the vibe!!!
